Yoga – a way to harmony 


The yoga has come to us from India where it has arisen more 2000 years ago. The word "yoga" occurs from the Sanskrit word meaning "unification" - a unification of a body, mind and spirit. There is an opinion, that in a human body circulate various the energy, providing its healthy functioning. The yoga makes active these of energy and results them in the counterbalanced condition. Allocate five kinds of vital energy:

1. The prana - circulates in a thorax, forcing to work heart and lungs;
2. Апана - it is concentrated in the bottom part of a trunk and supervises work of bodies of allocation;
3. Вьяна – influences blood circulation system, extending on a body the energy received by breath and consumption of food;
4. Самана – supervises work of bodies of digestion and supports balance энергий pranas and апаны;
5. Удана – operates area of a backbone and influences intuition, creative abilities, clearness of thought.

For achievement of physical and mental health these five энергий should be balanced. This balance энергий can achieve, being engaged in yoga.

The majority of people are familiar with physical aspects of yoga, but the yoga has a special spiritual party. The people concerning employment by yoga seriously, should observe certain ethics. The ethic behaviour is directed on establishing and supporting harmony of private world of the person.

Exists 10 basic ethical precepts of yoga formulated in "Yoga-sutrah" by Old Indian thinker Svami Patandzhali:

1. Not to cause harm and violence;
2. Not to lie and not to break promises;
3. Not to steal;
4. Self-discipline and the control over a sexual instinct;
5. Self-restriction and ability to manage the small;
6. To support a body and thoughts in cleanliness;
7. To be always pacified (that is to keep calmness in any situations);
8. To be tolerant and patient;
9. To develop compassion to all live beings;
10. To study and raise the intellectual level.

These principles differ from religious themes that benefit first of all to the person, helping it in finding of internal harmony and a sound health. However the given precepts coincide with the basic precepts of the majority of religions, therefore you can practise yoga, not renouncing the belief.

In the modern world it is enough possibilities for employment by yoga: you can register in courses with the teacher, get the video-cartridge or master yoga under the textbook. The word "хатха" consists of two parts: "ха" - "sun", "тха" – "moon" - also means balance of contrasts. In an antiquity it is a yoga direction served as preparation for meditation.
